new Patient Forms

At Ignite Dental, you will have our undivided attention. We are committed to provide you and your family with gentle, high-quality dental care. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and anxious free. Our new patient appointment generally will take around 90 minutes. We will guide you through the new patient experience every step of the way, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Once the clerical part is completed, our assistant will bring you into the room and start on a full set of x-rays. We use a digital x-ray sensor that gives unsurpassed clarity and also reduces the amount of radiation needed compared to traditional x-ray films.

Dr. Eric will then review the x-rays and go over them with you and provide you with any findings seen on the x-rays such as areas of decay. After reviewing the x-rays, Dr. Eric will examine the teeth and soft tissue, including an oral cancer screening  to make sure there’s no abnormal lumps or bumps that shouldn’t be there. A full-mouth periodontal probing will also be completed to assess the gum health and determine if any periodontal treatment would be needed.

Dr. Eric will then create your individual treatment plan, which he’ll go over thoroughly with you. Of course, any questions are welcomed at any time.

A regular cleaning will be competed to finish up the appointment. During the cleaning, an ultrasonic scaler, also known as a cavitron will be used along with handscalers to remove the plaque and buildup on the teeth. Once the buildup and plaque is removed, the cleaning will be finished up with a polish to ensure a smooth finish on the teeth.

However, if a deep cleaning is needed, the regular cleaning will not be completed during the initial appointment, and additional appointments will need to be scheduled for the deep cleaning.

Then that’s it! If you need subsequent treatment, our front desk coordinator will schedule you for your next visit. If not, then we will look forward to see you in the next 6 months!
